Celebration Time

Celebration Time

Last night was truly a time to celebrate for Warrington.

Our ladies 1st team had gained promotion to the first division the night before, in the most dramatic of circumstances. That afternoon our adopted son, Jonah Bryant became the first Englishman to win 2 European Junior Championships in a row. Our men's team had officially won the league the week before by beating Grove Park, but this was our time to really celebrate with our loyal supporters. There was free food and drinks available for every supporter in the building, but before we could really unwind... there was also a match to play!

We welcomed City Of Manchester to our awesome club. Avoiding relegation was mathematically possible for the team based at Sportcity, but they faced an almost impossible task in their last match of the season, as they had to beat us! We had our big hitters Rui Soares and Ben Smith (Below), with regulars Lewis Doughty, Ollie Hudson and Charlie Cowie (Above). As expected we did run away as convincing 5-0 winners, but City Of Manchester's No.1 deserves a special mention; their mullet-machine Aaron Allpress, had played in the Liverpool PSA at 6pm, then sped over the Mersey Bridge to help his teammates by playing at no.1.

It was a wonderful night at Warrington, as our league-winning celebrations began - starting with the league winner's presentation, followed shortly by Lewis Doughty receiving his Player Of The Season trophy (Below). The evening culminated with a delightful 3-course meal for players, officials, friends and families.

We would like to thank our wonderful fans - you are always there to cheer us along in your drones, with a smile on your face and a drink in your hand. You make Warrington the best team-night experience in our league by far. A huge thank you to Alan Edge for his continued sponsorship and unparalleled passion for our team. Without him, non of this would be possible.

Next up is the Divisional Cup-Competition. The top 8 teams are invited to play in a knock-out tournament, starting with a home tie on Tuesday 16th April, and culminating on 26th May at The Manchester Open PSA event. We'll keep you posted...
